Design and Experiment of a Seamless Morphing Trailing Edge

چکیده
Morphing trailing edge wing as an important morphing technology has gained wide attention because of its advantages, such gust mitigation, improved aerodynamic efficiency, and reduced radar reflective area. However, the key problems low load carrying capacity insufficient smooth deformation profile are still not solved in a balanced manner. The purpose this paper is to design seamless structure that good bearing can realize chord-wise camber variation with contour subjected required load. In paper, innovative proposed, critical dimensions parameters designed through parametric study based on 2D 3D finite element models structure. A physical prototype was fabricated for load-bearing experiments. simulation experimental results show carry 0.015 MPa ±15° change. present demonstrates effectiveness potential proposed concept real application aircrafts.
